Clinics & Lessons
Team Coaches offer lessons to all Swim and Dive Team participants, in addition to offering Private lessons.
Private Lessons with Lifeguards
The lifeguards offer private one-on-one swim lessons to all members of the club.
We ask that you sign up at the office during normal pool hours. Lessons are offered at any time during club hours.
On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, lifeguards will be permitted to give lessons between 10 and 11 am, during swim team practice. Reservations may be booked online after logging into your account, or using the following link
Lessons are $10.00/person for a 20-minute lesson.

Our coaches are an experienced, enthusiastic group and work well together to encourage and motivate our swimmers and divers of all levels. 2019 is shaping up to be another positive year where our children have fun and improve their swim and diving skills.
Lisa Herbster - Head Swim Team Coach
Lisa has been Head Coach of our swim team for more than 10 years. Lisa started swimming for the club as a child and participated for many years on our swim team. She still maintains some club records! Lisa also coaches for Episcopal Academy Aquatic Club.
Svetlana Panayotova - Assistant Swim Team Coach
Svetlana has been with the Sharks for more than 16 years. She earned many Bulgarian national swimming titles as a competitive swimmer. In addition to coaching at St. Albans, Svetlana coaches at the Healthplex and at Suburban Swim Club.
Grayson Walker - Assistant Swim Team Coach
Grayson is a rising Junior at The Haverford School. He plays water polo, swims on the swim team, and plays baseball at Haverford. He has been a part of the St. Albans swim team since he was five, and is excited to join the coaching staff for 2019.
Cole Whitsett - Assistant Swim Team Coach
Cole a rising Senior at the Episcopal Academy. He has been swimming for 13 years, and this is his 4th summer at St. Albans. His favorite stroke is the butterfly, and he expects to continue his swim career in college. He is excited about sharing what I’ve learned from swimming with the younger swimmers
Diane Humes-Green - Head Dive Team Coach
Diane works in the Ridley school district, and has over two decades coaching experience from college, high school, club level and summer league. In her tenure with Nassau Swim Club, they won 16 of 20 championships, 15 undefeated seasons. Several of her divers have won numerous championships and have received college scholarships. Diane is highly regarded for her attention to technical detail and ability to motivate.
Kara Green - Assistant Dive Team Coach
Kara is a former Nassau diving assistant coach and has been diving since the age of 6. Kara has placed in the top 3 in every summer elite meet she has attended. Kara brings enthusiasm, experience and knowledge that divers react to and respect.
Declan Doherty - Assistant Dive Team Coach
Declan is a rising Junior at the Episcopal Academy. He has been diving competitively for 6 years, and looks forward to sharing his knowledge with the younger divers. Declan is also a lifeguard at St. Albans.
